Ashwin Kumar’s mythological animated spectacle Mahavatar Narsimha continues its dream run at the box office, dominating its third Friday with collections of over ₹8 crore. This strong performance has pushed the film’s total earnings to an impressive ₹126.25 crore, solidifying its position as one of the biggest animated hits in recent years.
According to early estimates by trade analyst Sacnilk, the film has maintained steady momentum across multiple languages and formats. On Day 14, it had collected ₹5.35 crore, with contributions from Hindi (₹4.1 crore), Telugu (₹1.03 crore), Kannada (₹15 lakh), Tamil (₹6 lakh), and Malayalam (₹1 lakh). By the end of its second week, the total stood at ₹73.4 crore, led by robust performances in the Hindi (₹54.95 crore) and Telugu (₹15.13 crore) markets.
Strong Theatre Occupancy Across Formats
The Telugu 3D version recorded an impressive 31.46% overall occupancy on August 8, 2025, peaking at 47.57% during night shows. The 2D version wasn’t far behind with 28.32% overall occupancy, touching 37.16% at night. Hindi audiences also showed strong support, with the 2D version hitting 27.47% occupancy at night and the 3D version reaching 22.07%.
The evening and night slots have proven particularly lucrative for the film, giving it a significant boost in daily earnings.
